The NSW Formula Ford Championship is part of the CAMS sanctioned NSW Motor Racing Championships, with five rounds spread from April to October.
Championship Categories
Formula Ford 1600 - open to all Formula Ford 1600 racing cars excluding those with historic logbooks. (Designations “K”)
Formula Ford - open to Formula Ford racing cars as defined by CAMS or as specified in these championship regulations. (Designation “F”)
Classes for the Formula Ford 1600 Championship shall be as follows:
Outright - open to all Formula Ford 1600 racing cars (Designation “K”)
Modern – open to Formula Ford 1600 racing cars built prior to 1st January 2006 but after 31 December 1994 (Class Ka)
Classic - open to Formula Ford 1600 class racing cars built prior to 1st January 1995, excluding those competing with Historic Group Fa, Fb or Fc logbooks. (Designation “Kb”)
Historic – open to Formula Ford 1600 class racing cars with Historic Group Fa, Fb or Fc logbooks. (Designation “H”). Historic Formula Ford Group F eligible for entry to specific rounds on confirmation of National Formula Ford point score.
Note: Historic Group F cars are capable of competing in the Formula Ford 1600 competition subject to the requirements of Schedule L in the CAMS Manual. The historic Group F car shall comply with the technical regulations for Formula Ford 1600.

This action-packed car racing event not only invites you to enjoy watching many races but also offers you an opportunity to get up and close with some of the newest international stars. Each year, a number of drivers come to this historic event to showcase their talents through some world-class racing.
There are over 60 events with 540 entries in this year’s ‘Classic’ which will be held over the 3-day program. There will be practice and qualifying rounds held on Friday morning and racing from 1:20pm that afternoon.
For those looking to stay nearby, there will be a campground which operates over the whole weekend which is located in the Visitor Centre Gardens. Campers are welcome to bring tents caravans and campervans, however, pre-booking is required.
The VHRR Phillip Island Classic ‘Festival of Motorsport supports a charity each year with special rides around the track and this year all funds raised will go to support “The Male Bag Foundation”, headed up by AFL Legend David Parkin.
Come to this event and check out the wide variety of sports racing cars including Jaguars, Porsche and Nissan. You will also see a number of top-class and new models on display.

Make sure you head to the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour Paddock area at the rear of the garages where the behind-the-scenes action takes place. From inside the paddock, fans can see the amazing purpose built transporters, teams working in the garages and enjoy a bite to eat at the Paddock Cafe.

Entries for the 2022 Formula Ford Festival are open!
The event will be held at Winton Raceway on October 14-16th and will be part of the 2022 Formula Vee National Challenge, Formula 3 Australia, S5000 & more for a full weekend of open wheel racing!
Entries are open on the Winton Raceway website - at this link.
Event regulations and schedule will be available in the upcoming weeks. We are planning separate grids for Duratec, modern Kent and historic Kent cars.
