The NSW Formula Ford Championship is part of the CAMS sanctioned NSW Motor Racing Championships, with five rounds spread from April to October.
Championship Categories
Formula Ford 1600 - open to all Formula Ford 1600 racing cars excluding those with historic logbooks. (Designations “K”)
Formula Ford - open to Formula Ford racing cars as defined by CAMS or as specified in these championship regulations. (Designation “F”)
Classes for the Formula Ford 1600 Championship shall be as follows:
Outright - open to all Formula Ford 1600 racing cars (Designation “K”)
Modern – open to Formula Ford 1600 racing cars built prior to 1st January 2006 but after 31 December 1994 (Class Ka)
Classic - open to Formula Ford 1600 class racing cars built prior to 1st January 1995, excluding those competing with Historic Group Fa, Fb or Fc logbooks. (Designation “Kb”)
Historic – open to Formula Ford 1600 class racing cars with Historic Group Fa, Fb or Fc logbooks. (Designation “H”). Historic Formula Ford Group F eligible for entry to specific rounds on confirmation of National Formula Ford point score.
Note: Historic Group F cars are capable of competing in the Formula Ford 1600 competition subject to the requirements of Schedule L in the CAMS Manual. The historic Group F car shall comply with the technical regulations for Formula Ford 1600.
